The European Center of Ceramics will contribute with the Science Laboratory for Ceramic °Processes and Surface Treatments (SPCTS) and the Study Group into Heterogeneous Materials (GEMH) to the organization of the third International Workshop on Advance Ceramics which will be held in Limoges on november 6-7 2008.

Construction work is proceeding at a good pace; the special foundations are complete and the civil engineering work is already well under way.
This considerable project (35.85 million euros, 14,200 sq. metres), led by the Board of the Academy of Limoges, comprises a set of buildings on the ESTER technology park housing the ENSCI, SPCTS, and GEMH institutions. Its doors should be open in time for the autumn, 2009 university term.
